Garda, PSNI probing Belfast murder execute multiple searches

DUBLIN, Ireland - As part of the Cross Border Joint Action Task Force (JATF), An Garda Sochna carried out searches at 12 locations in Dublin and Sligo on Tuesday. Investigators probing 2020 Belfast murder

The searches are a component of an ongoing, joint investigation into the murder of Robbie Lawlor, which took place in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on April 4, 2020.

This investigation is led by the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the PSNI Major Investigation Team, with the support of Eurojust, the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Co-Operation.

During Tuesday's operations, investigators seized several mobile phones for further examination.

No arrests were made in connection with these searches.

An Garda Sochna and the PSNI say they remain committed to investigating all circumstances surrounding the murder.
